Rainwater Retention System at Tri-Service General Hospital Songshan branch in Taipei, Taiwan
◎ Models Installed: AF Series - Submersible Sewage / Wastewater Pumps
◎ Description:
Urban flooding risks are increasing due to climate change and impermeable surfaces like concrete and asphalt. Traditional drainage systems struggle to handle sudden, heavy downpours. In response, Taipei City has embraced the sponge city concept, using public infrastructure to store and gradually release stormwater. At the Tri-Service General Hospital Songshan Branch, a stormwater retention system was installed beneath the new parking lot. Based on projected rainfall and basin capacity, HCP PUMP’s AF Series 150AFE411 sewage/wastewater pumps were selected to manage outflow effectively. These pumps ensure optimal discharge under required conditions, helping meet flood control standards during intense rainfall events. By supporting climate-resilient infrastructure, HCP PUMP continues to contribute to safer, more sustainable, and eco-friendly urban environments.
AFE Series - submersible sewage / wastewater pumps has won 31th Taiwan Excellence Award!
