◎ Description：
The Pingtung Industrial Zone is on the south side of Pingtung city. With 101.65 hectares reserved for factories, this area was first established for the pulp and paper industry. The Industrial Zone is then transformed into a pollution-free hub for various industries such as fabricated metal products, food manufacture, and machinery and equipment manufacture. An issue in the Pingtung Industrial Zone was the release of untreated water. The infrastructure of this hub of manufacturers did not include wastewater treatment facilities. The wastewater, consequently, was released directly into one of the Wan Nien river' s tributaries and polluted water and the surrounding area. Hence, a wastewater project is implemented for cleaner water. 28 HCP PUMP AF series submersible sewage/wastewater pumps and 2 HCP PUMP HD series submersible dewatering pumps are installed in the wastewater project to handle 1200 m3 of water per day. The pumps help with the wastewater collection from the factories to improve the water quality and the industrial park' s wastewater treatment capability.
