National Science and Technology Museum Drain System in Kaohsiung, Taiwan
◎ Models Installed: AF Series - Submersible Sewage / Wastewater Pumps
IC Series - Submersible Dewatering Pumps
◎ Description:
Dedicating to science education, the National Science and Technology Museum (NSTM) is a popular destination for families. The theater plaza at the lowest point of the museum is an outdoor resting spot below ground level. The plaza, however, is frequently flooded caused of the heavy rainfall under extreme weather. The museum wanted to upgrade the draining system without compromising the visitors’ resting space. HCP PUMP donated 4 AF Series Submersible Sewage/Wastewater Pump 15kW 150(200)AFE415 and 1 IC Series Submersible Dewatering Pump 5.5kW IC-48 to help the museum combat flooding. 150(200)AFE415 can pump 270m3 of water per hour and IC-48 can pump 60m3 per hour. The pumps drain out the water efficiently and are paired with a control panel for real-time monitoring. The theater plaza now serves the museum visitors without disruptions after the installation.
